About this event
Calling All Sages
Penn Sages Visit, Lunch, and Fun Catching Up
A sage is defined as someone venerated
for the possession of wisdom, judgment, and experience.
Join fellow sages who graduated from Penn 50+ years ago
at this inaugural luncheon for a mind-body-soul strengthening experience, as well as to share stories and plan future events.
Spring 2019
Thomas Edison's Home and Laboratory
Thomas Edison's home and laboratory are a step back in time, when machines were run by belts and pulleys, and music was played on phonographs.
Discover where America's greatest inventor changed our world forever.
Meet at the Laboratory Complex visitor center for a private tour of Main Laboratory and Invention Factory to begin promptly at 10am. After the private tour, explore Glenmont Estate and Lab Complex.
A light box lunch will be provided for attendees to enjoy at the picnic tables near the parking lot.
We invite you to read The Last Days of Night by Graham Moore prior to our event. From the Oscar-winning screenwriter of The Imitation Game and New York Times bestselling author of The Sherlockian, comes a thrilling novel - based on actual event - about the nature of genius, the cost of ambition, and the battle to electrify America.

New York Times Bestseller: "A world of invention and skulduggery, populated by the likes of Edison, Westinghouse, and Tesla." - Erik Larson
The Washington Post: "A model of superior historical fiction...an exciting, sometimes astonishing story."
