An Insider’s Guide to Selective College Admissions

with

Rachel Korn
Former Penn Regional Director of Admissions

Rachel Korn has worked in college and graduate admissions for twenty-three years. For seven of those years Rachel worked in admissions at several highly-selective universities where she evaluated and brought over 10,000 undergraduate applications to committee. At the University of Pennsylvania, she served as a Regional Director of Admissions for three years and oversaw applications to all of its undergraduate schools. Prior to working at Penn, Rachel served as an Assistant Director of Admissions at Brandeis and also as an Assistant Director of Admissions at Wellesley College. Rachel’s two books about surviving the college admissions process - Get into College and How to Survive Getting Your Kid into College – earned her recognition as an admissions expert by The Today Show and The Washington Post.

Rachel founded her own international admissions consulting practice in 2005. A seasoned user of virtual meeting technology, Rachel has worked with undergraduate and graduate studies applicants on six continents. For the last four years, Rachel has also served on the board of the Association of Graduate Admissions Consultants, improving ethics and professionalism in the admissions consulting field.

During this program Rachel also will share insight into navigating changes to the admissions process brought on by the COVID 19 pandemic.
