Christine “Chris” Pluta

Since 1997, Chris has been a respected and admired member of the college admissions counseling community serving as Associate Director of Admission at Barnard College, Regional Director of Admissions at the University of Pennsylvania, and then joining the college counseling office at Horace Mann School.

From August 2008 to 2018, Chris was the Director of College Counseling at the Lycée Français de New York, where she counseled her students applying to universities both in the US and around the world.

She is known for her deep knowledge of college admission, her extensive network, and her unfailingly student-centered approach.
